Helpful Tips for Creating New Websites.

When creating a website, it is important to know what your going to be doing. I know that sounds obvious, but it’s important and time saving. First off, know your time frame. Pick a realistic time you want your website to be online and commit to it. Without a time frame you will be tempted to keep tweaking the website. Thus, prolonging the time the website will be available to the public. This could cause you to lose interest or derive from your main objective.

So after you know what you want, just do it, then tweak it. There are tons of ways to make money online, but if you don’t put yourself out there. It won’t be worth squat. Get your design together. In my case, when I create a website I just slap everything together as quick as I can. Even if it means their are certain functions of the website not working. Get a template if you want the site up quickly.  Well, from here create content. worry about the rest later. Write content often and frequently. Once you got that going. Worry about the rest. Like affiliates, and money, or whatever.

Creating a Website. Just do it

Too often I have fallen into the trap of fixing to perfection and then writing content. It turns out I never achieve perfection. So I got use to just writing articles and tips, then fine tuning. You know a website is not hard to get up. All the beginning stuff is simple. Sticking to it can be a pain at times.

Get into your rhythm. that way you could have a steady stream of progress. It might help to learn a bit of Imageready. Trust me it helps. This way you could create your own images. I look at what others are doing and try to improve on those ideas. Also, magazines help. I consider magazines to be like blogs in print. So I often look to magazines to get design, and content ideas. Especially since they are always to date on current events. Timeless articles are great, but current events gets people talking. From there that’s it. You know, most people have great ideas and never get past that first step. If anyone is stuck out there feel free to comment and I will offer my advise. I’d like to see people take that first step and I know I would of liked some help before I took my first step.

You know recently I looked at video that struck me as interesting. I saw Blockbuster CEO Jim Keyes say that an economy in recession is actually helping his business, and I wondered how is that possible? Well, if you think about it people are less prone to go out and spend money in the movies and partying. Simply because money is a bit scarce these days. However, you can technically get a cheap source of entertainment just zipping to your local Blockbuster and renting some dvds. Now here is a business that is reaping financial benefits in what is deemed a slow period in the economy. So I ask myself, can I apply the same concept on my Internet business?

I don’t see why not. I am not going to sit here and say how it will be done. However, I am going to say certain businesses will see a financial bump. I imagine website like Youtube, and Myspace are going to boom as things get worst. Let’s face the facts, it’s free entertainment. So I am going to go as far as to say that now is the time to invest in mastering all these social sites. Heck, get into video for your site.

At the least work the angle to get the traffic, that’s all I’m saying. It’s important to implement every strategy you could. Even if people are not buying in your website because of the poor economy.  So, setting up a strategy for the tough times will help your business strive.

Setting up a Strategy

  1. Keep your content entertaining. People will come back if they genuinely enjoy the content you write.
  2. Set up a newsletter. It’s important in any business to implement a means to communicate with your prospects. Newsletters give updates and remind people to visit your website.
  3. Get into video. I need to do this myself. All these video websites will only get more popular. So this will help drive traffic to your website. Upload to Youtube and embed the code on your website.
  4. Set up partnerships with similar sites. Joint ventures help everyone involved.
  5. Remind your visitors about your website with email. Email is one of the best ways to promote your website. Set up an Email promotion.

There are many others, but here are some strategies to help you get on your way. The most important advice I could give is be aware of any opportunity you can. don’t be afraid to try new things.

You know, One of the hardest things for me was to discover what ways I was gonna make some extra money online. I read books, went to websites, and visited blogs . All to end up back to square one. Finally I did what was right for me. I started this blog. I had been blogging for a while and I had another wordpress hosted blog about dog training. The reason I choose this was because I love blogging and with all the knowledge I learned researching I felt I should pass it on to others. Hopefully this will help you guys avoid all the run around I had before I finally decidede to make this blog. Here are some ways I learned to make moeny online.

10 Ways to Make Money Online.

  1. Start an affiliate website. This is not to difficult. Figure out your niche and market it. Sell products, give out free info. There are tons of thing you can do with this.
  2. Sell Stuff on Ebay. This was one of the first online experinments I did. Find old junk and sell it. Works good till you run out of junk. The trick here is to get stuff at a bargain and sell it for a profit. I sold ebooks with resale rights back in the day. I did ok. I just lost interest in it. It’s not all about the money you know.
  3. Online Survey’s. If you know what your doing you can make some nice cash off of this. Companies will pay you to do their survey’s. Yes, there are some tricks involved in this. My sister actually makes a full blown living doing this. She’s a guru when it comes to survey’s. She guest blogged here so if you want to read more on this just visit her post.
  4. Sell Your Products. Start a website and sell your product.
  5. Blog. Write some good content. Place some ad’s and build a community.
  6. Set Up an Online Store. Set up on onlineline store that sell products.
  7. Sponsored review. i find more people doing this lately. Basically people pay you to review their website.  Their are companies that will pay you to do this.
    • PayPerPost
    • Sponsored Reviews
    • ReviewMe
    • BlogVertise
    • Smorty
  8. Selling minisites. Build mini websites 1 or 2 pages then sell it. Normally they go for about $25 or $50. Just build about 7 a week they sel it. I will get more into detail about this in a future post.
  9. Start a Podcast. It’s the same as a blog, but with audio or video.

SocialMarker. Automate Your Submissions.

Well, during my online adventures I learned that you can submit your website to social bookmarking websites and actually get some traffic from it. The only problem is that you need to have an account for every different social bookmark website and manually submit your article to every different site one by one. However, now their is a website to automate that.

Social Maker. Automate your submissions.

Basically the way it works is you sign up to all the book-marker websites and then download the socialmarker button. When you write an article just submit your content. It will take you one by one through all the websites and automatically fill in the fields for you. Then you just submit and move on to the next.

I know some of you might think it is evil to submit your own content to these sites, but new websites need all the traffic they can get. I would advise to only submit your best content though. Don’t submit everything you write. This will get you banned quick. Whenever you write an article of value go ahead and submit it. While your at it be apart of those communities as well. If you find another website you like. You can also submit that article to the directories as well.
